Arabic term or phrase: ختام التدريب أم إختتامه
I am reading through this text and the translator is using them both in the same place. I know "khitam" is "end" but "ikhtitam" is something I haven't seen except as active verb (ikhtatama), but not as an abstract noun.

Khitam Or Ikhtitam
Explanation:
Sam you're right about the first word:Khitam= نهاية (end),for the second word: Ikhtitam = conclusion, close. That's according to:"A Dictionary of Modern Written arabic". Hope this will clarify the difference.

ختام التدريب أم إختتامه
الخاتمة

Explanation:
If the context is as you're saying, then you should go for الخاتمة alone. If you need to keep the word التدريب then I'll vote for خاتمة التدريب or خنام التدريب or even التدريب الختامي. Any of the suggested options depend on what comes later after the sub-t.
