and don't change it to بحر. If فرس البحر then it'll be a total different animal.

Dear Ziad:

1> You listed that both فرسان and أفراس are correct. This isn't true; the only valid plural for فرس is أفراس ... linguistically speaking :)

2> I had to explain the difference between فرس النهر and فرس البحر. The space in the comments bar and/ or the peer response bar were not enough. You suggested أفراس البحر, and that is a totally different animal :)

3> I would have changed my answer's heading to "not for grade", but this isn't possible unfortunately :)

I have just noticed that "أفراس النهر" is used more often than "فرسان النهر" but I think both are correct. Good luck.

That's Ok, I understand your point but I did not mention anything about "فرس البحر", I really have no idea where you got that from.
