English term or phrase: sentence understanding

English translation:I'll give it a try!
Explanation:
"You separated the Sunday sections": Some Sunday newspapers are known to be particularly thick, consisting of several sections, e.g Sports, Finance, Arts etc. So the lady in question would take the newspaper apart, separating each section from the other.

"and there are endless identical lines of print with people living somewhere in the words": Before actually reading the papers, all she can see are endless identical lines of print - she is however aware that there are stories of people hidden in these lines, waiting to be read.

"and the strange contained reality of paper and ink seeps through the house for a week...": Once read, the strange realities of stories of people that are captured in the newspaper (paper and ink) leave the confinement of the newspaper and linger around the house, or in the mind of the lady in question, for the rest of the week, until she buys the next Sunday paper.

Maybe: instead of "the strange realities of stories of people that are captured in the newspaper" read "the realities of stories of people that are strangely captured in the newspaper"

(Just to say, I'm referring to the person as a lady because I googled part of the text and read a little portion of the story, and think I understand it's a lady)
