English to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Business/Commerce (general) | | English term or phrase: to set up measures | I am translating into Polish the minutes of a European works council meeting, of a large multinational company manufacturing diesel and natural gas engines, gas turbines, etc.:
‘’Mr X: Some recovery plans cannot be financed – this money will have to be found. Where do I find this money? Who will give this money? Some say there will be a huge recovery plan. You’ve said about what could be done for the public sector, but these financial means will have to be found somewhere.
Mr Y: We can hear that some banks have been given money from the public authority, the first thing that we do with that money is reinvesting. There are a lot of financial dysfunctions that we are faced with. We have taken measures, you can see the state of play here, but these measures are *difficult to set up* to get the loans, to get cash. We will see how products will have to evolve in the future.
Mr Z: From the $xxx million investment in research and development, are products developed in a sustainable way and are all measures taken for the products to be competitive from a quality point of view?’’
I can’t quite understand what the phrase ‘’to set up measures’’ means in this particular context..
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
