English term or phrase: question about "break"
question about protesters and winter break -----

I was wondering if anyone knew if those people that are fasting and protesting about the fact that little kids can stitch purdue pete on a shirt straight is right will be continuing during winter break?

i had a final in Stewart on weds and they were still there but I am just curious if they will be there all of winter break.

What does "break" mean?Thanks.
