English term or phrase:openable windows, doors and shutters
Hi, is there a single term which covers the above, whilst also excluding fixed unopenable windows?
"Casements" presumably wouldn't work, as I believe it doesn't exclude doors.
"Frames" wouldn't work as it's too general and still includes unopenable windows.
Any ideas from those in the know?

are what I'm dealing with (translating from Italian). The document makes a point of distinguishing between (on the one hand) fixed lights and (on the other) internal or external frames which are openable, presumably referring to shutters, doors and windows. As this is the title of a section in the document, I'm looking for an authentic and succinct English term, if there is one.

Explanation: There are some buildings or houses that have windows but are not accessible by People, meaning there are so called weather proof houses, that keep the heat and cool air in, so they have these windows that not operable, then there are the conventional windows and doors that can be opened. if this what you were looking for???? The expression - unlike in some other languages, -
is not common in the English language. They use it mainly in shipbuilding, like the second example. Nevertheless, it exists in this form and can be used if you wish.
"Frames" would not do, as it refers to the - window and/or door frame - and the frame has little to do with openability. Casement is a type of frame, so that is also out.

I read the question again, and I am not sure what you want to exclude.
If you mean doors + windows + shutters, you can use the above.
If you mean just windows, for example, you would have to say: non-fixed windows.
The doors are usually built for the specific purpose of interconnecting spaces, and are only fixed if for some reason this connection becomes undesirable, so fixed doors are unusual.
Windows and shutters on the other hand may only serve to give light or exclude light, because the ventilation of the space can be solved by other means. Therefore windows are often "fixed". Shutters can be both, because fixed shutters can be aligned such a way as to exclude specific climatic effects.
