English term or phrase: recalcul
This is a memorandum about how to survey a viaduct for deterioration of steel reinforcements in order to decide upon and carry out a "recalcul". Would one use re-calculation, or revised calculation?

"Pour évaluer précisément ce risque de défaillance, des recalculs sont nécessaires afin d’estimer la capacité portante résiduelle d’un ouvrage en tenant compte aussi précisément que possible de son niveau actuel de dégradation."

English translation:recalculation
Explanation:
Just recalculation. "Revised recalculation" would not be appropriate here, in my opinion.

NB: A "revised recalculation" would be a second recalculation that has been, well, revised (modified).

Note to Asker: I would still go with "recalculation," as that is what the ST says. If the ST had used "calcul révisé" then I would have gone with "revised calculation," but even if that is what the ST author meant, it is not what he or she said. I would translate the ST based on the letter not the intent of the text. Good luck! :)

Notes to answerer
Asker: It is, in effect, a review/revision of the original design calculations. Given your "NB" would this make it a "revised calculation", which was my alternative. (Certainly not a "revised re-calculation", which I never suggested.)

Notes to answerer
Asker: This is a "recalcul" of the whole bridge. Your examples relate to particular parametres, so I suspect that they do not support the context of my question.

Asker: In the Trajan's bridge example, it is the calculation **methods** that were revised, so it is also out of context.
