Explanation: I found the below website that contains a lot of contextual examples of this, in Project Management in this case. My understanding is that within any project, large or small, a series of tasks would be drafted (and assigned) and each completed task would be a step closer to completing the project - but of course, a milestone has a much more 'laborious' connotation that a mere task.
