agree  Richard McDorman: I agree that the sentence in question is grammatical and semantically sensical.
22 mins
-> Thank you. I've never seen the word sensical before, but if it's the opposite of nonsensical, it makes sense!

agree  Patricia Rosas
43 mins
  -> Thank you.

agree  Tina Vonhof: I would keep 'is sent' together.
1 hr
-> Thank you. You're right. "...is sent, in accordance with the established procedure, to the..." would be better.

depends on target audience: "favourable" (UK), "favorable" (US)

and a final couple of points: it would be better to add "and" after "approval"

examination, approval, and obtaining/acquiring the appropriate
permission/authorization

and again depends on the target audience: in a list for the US, the comma after "approval" is ok, for the UK it should be omitted

and spelling for the US and UK: "authorization" (US) and "authorisation" (UK)

One of the more notable differences between English as it is spoken in different countries is in the spelling of word endings. The following table shows some common spelling equivalents. Note that the British spelling is nearly always closer to the French.

-ck check -que cheque chèque
-ense defense
license -ence defence

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you, David! However, I have already used Jack's version. But I would like to specifically thank you for your note about the comma before "and" - I did not know that (and simply put the comma in all cases :))

agree  Patricia Rosas: serial commas aren't mandatory for some document types, but they help avoid potential ambiguities!

agree  British Diana: This is a good answer, too and I am all in favour of the serial (or Oxford) comma, like Particia.
