English term or phrase: exit data
I am translating minutes taken at a meeting of the European Works Council of a large multinational.
I am not sure about the meaning of the phrase ,,exit data’’ in the context below.
Does that phrase refer to ,,data collected with an exit questionnaire’’ - a survey of staff leaving the company?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

‘’John then discussed the headcount evolution. 2100 employees have left through a combination of restructuring, attrition and divestiture. He gave a business by business breakdown of employment reductions. Peter gave figures for commercial refrigeration in EMEA.

Q. Is this data updated and if so when? We have given our national reports and when I listened to colleagues and what they have to say, the information is not always consistent.
A. It is as of December 31, 2009. This is exit data and is not always synchronized. There could be small differences as far as timing but not with the overall numbers. We can look into what you are referring to. Temporary employees are not included.’’

English translation:information about staff members as they leave the company
Explanation:
This usually refers, not specifically to questionnaires filled in by staff leaving, but rather to all their personal data, which are finally updated and then archived when the staff member leaves; things like number of years' service, leaving salary... — all the various details that enable the employer to 'close the account' so to speak on that particular employee.

Unlike data about current employees, this sort of information is not always a priority for updating, hence why there might be some discrepancies between figures obtained from different sources (database synchronization, etc.)

actual figures of employees left the company

Explanation:
EWC-s are establised in multinational companies, often with several sites in each country, and at least one in a number of countries. The number of employees are fluctuating, and in a recession like now, the number who exit the company is significant.

The given text is talking about headcount, and mentions that temporary employees are not included.
In other words, it is querying the exit data, the headcount at a particular time or at a certain period. Perhaps wanting to make a comparison to the data of the previous year.

The complexity of the multinational company where several "businesses" have to produce comparable data, but these figures may come from different sites and countries, often give way to confusion.
Your text mentions: "There could be small differences as far as timing but not with the overall numbers."
Someone at the meeting questioned the figures, the exit data presented at the meeting, - the statistics.

The delegates usually know what happened at their site or in their country, and someone may have had doubts about the overall data given of the people who - for whatever reason - left.

The exit data IS prioritised, because the employers have to present it at EWC meetings. Redundancies are often one of the main - and most controversial subjects of these meetings.

As a seasoned EWC interpreter, being involved on a monthly basis with the subject for several years, and interpreting on EWC training programs as well, I can safely say that the exit data has nothing to do with personal data, the EWC is not concerned with that.
It is the data on the number of employees leaving the company. Naturally, it encompasses the reason why these employees left, but they don't need a questionaire to establish that.

As the text itself states: "2100 employees have left through a combination of restructuring, attrition and divestiture. He gave a business by business breakdown of employment reductions."

The issue is to establish the actual number of redundancies, the type of workforce it affected most and why these happened at certain sites and not at others.
Particularly, why there were redundancies of for example drivers at one country and place, while they took on drivers in another country.
It is a complex issue, because each country's representative(s) and each site fights for their own workforce.
The company may be present in 15 countries in Europe alone, encompassing 50 sites, have a workforce of over 10 000 and there are some 30 representatives sitting around a table, discussing the data presented to them, and arguing the merits of how, when, where, how much, etc. the workforce was or will be reduced. The accuracy of the available data is paramount.

No matter how much hand-on experience is presented, not to mention facts in the actual text, I am sorry to say that guesswork won over yet again.
