English term or phrase: proving the profile
"The template captures a breadth of the role proving the profile of what we would want from a standard person in a role."

About a role profile template.

Does this make sense?

Thank you for your help!

English translation:providing the profile
Explanation:
I think you might want to say "providing the profile" here, also you probably want to say "captures THE breadth of the role".

It depends whether you want to prove that the profile is the right one, provide proof that it is, or whether you want to create a profile that gives all of the facets of the role and the person to fill it.

If the former, then stick with what you started with (but change a to the with breadth).

If the latter, then provide is your word.

Nadia - out of English or into English? If out of English, can you ask the author, as it seems to be odd. If into English, I'd go for providing, to be honest!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you Liz. I did not write the sentence, I'm only translating it! I don't think it makes sense, but I thought I could be wrong.

Asker: I'm translation this into Arabic. I should ask the client, at least they can correct it! Thank you Liz ;)
