English to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Human Resources | | English term or phrase: allocation holder | I am translating minutes taken at a meeting of the European Works Council of a large multinational.
I can’t make out what ‘’allocation holder’’ means in the context below:
''Mr X asked about the status of the Individual Development Plan (IDP), in the past this was linked more directly to the PBC.
Mr Y said that that IDP had been a separate tool and that the individual development objectives and discussion are now integrated into the PBC Tool. Decision was that we do not need both tools. Now we have the Business goals and the Development goals in one tool.
With reference to Chart 4, Mr X asked if, when a manager wants to give an Eminence & Excellence award, the Allocation Holder has to agree in advance. Mr Y confirmed. ‘’
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
| | | English translation:senior manager / funding body / award allocator | Explanation: I think it refers to the person or body senior to the manager who / which controls the funds or the decision as to whether to make an Eminence & Excellence Award (not sure if this has a monetary value or not). So the manager will have to refer to this body in advance and get it agreed, before they can give the award. |
