It seems that there is such a thing in the UK:

"Within one week of the prisoner being sentenced the prison will send the Category A Team copies of the following documents: the Crown Court warrant or order for imprisonment (5035 form), the indictments and the trial record sheet (5089 form)."

It would still be helpful to know whose record sheret this is, e.g. is it an official transcript? Please let us know as there are people "out here" who have seen such documents before and who can probably help you.

The record is an official one and it follows the indictement with all the counts. then I have the Trial Record Sheet. There are about 3 pages with the same text I have provided the only difference being these acronyms at the end which vary : PCM (Plea and Case Management), MAP (Mediation Appeals Program), PAD(Planning Appeal Decisions), TRL (Trial) and the name of the advocate. So it must be something to do with the type of hearings. Please note that it was a rather long trial (almost 2 months) and quite a few counts.

Might be helpful to know exectly WHOSE record it is. I think a barrister making notes in Court, for example, is more likely to use abbreviations. I thought of perhaps an acronym for a law firm but could only find Dix Noonan Webb, who apparently are auctioneers and not solicitors. Could you tell us which Crown Court it is, this might give a clue. Is the record signed by anyone with the initials DNW? Or the initials of the trial Judge?

By analogy with PCM this ought to stand for some procedure or hearing, but if AllegroTrans has never encountered it it surely cannot be a standard Crown Court code or acronym. The "W" suggests "witness"; could it possibly be "deposition of witness"? This is just a wild guess, and I would not dream of proposing it formally.

The only other possibility that occurs to me is that "DNW" are the initials of someone involved in the case.

It's a record of the trial with certain details: the name of the advocate on each date... It can't be do not write because on another hearing date the abbreviation is PCM - Plea and Case management so they must all stand for something of this sort.
