English term or phrase: picture/pictured
Hola a todos:

Tengo una duda de estilo, cuando en un libro se está describiendo una foto que está arriba, es decir sería la descripción de la foto.

Por ejemplo: está la foto y debajo dice: Universidad de Buenos Aires (foto).

qué queda mejor en inglés: The University of Buenos Aires (picture) or (pictured).

Quizás sea indistinto, no lo sé.

Explanation:
Often references to pictures in magazines etc. just say "above" - e.g. President Obama (above ) said in his speech ....
(or "below", "left" etc. depending on where the picture is). But "pictured above" etc. is also perfectly possible, as is "pictured" or "see picture" if it is clear which picture is meant.
