Ciao Elena. You can see the photo on the URL below. Cannot understand why it is called "cheater", though.

I found 2 applications of these valve: one is for spray guns, as on the quoted web page, the other is for waste disposal from yachts in a marina or a port (and this may explain the term 'cheater', because it allows discharging waste into seawater instead of a holding tank). In both cases, it should be a 3-way valve, or Y-valve, as quoted by airmailrpl. "Rudimentale valvola a Y"? (Actually, it's more of a rubinetto/cock than a valve).
