1) Severe Impairment Battery (SIB) a 40 item test of memory, orientation, language, attention,
visuospatial ability and construction.

Cette batterie a pour but d'évaluer les capacités cognitives des malades pour lesquels les tests standards ne sont plus adaptés : d'une démence modérément sévère à sévère, y compris pour les patients ayant un MMS compris entre 0 et 10. Elle teste l'interaction sociale, l'orientation, l'attention, le langage, la mémoire, les praxies, la construction et les fonctions visuo-spatiales, sous forme de questions et d'actions à réaliser. Ce test est une version abrégée comportant 26 items (la première version comprenait 152 items), pour un temps de passation de 10 minutes en moyenne.
