English term or phrase: individual v.s. multi products
SAVE A good way to save is to buy individual products; they can be from 20% to 60% cheaper than multi products.

I'm puzzled about what is meant by this saving tip.

English translation:individual versus multiple item packaging
Explanation:
although it does not make a lot of sense as a saving tip to me,
it seems the reference is to packaging. for example by one tube of toothpaste instead of a package of several.

individual item vs package of multiple products with unnecessary items included

Explanation:
My interpretation is quite the opposite of Maria; I think the above phrase means that if you want to buy a certain item, taking Maria's example, a toothpaste, and when you go to the store to buy one, you see other package of multiple items which contains items which you do not need. For example, if a box of toothpaste costs 1 USD, and the multiple package of item costs 9.99 USD, of course the toothpaste is included in the package of multiple products, but there are also dental floss, shampoo, hair tonic, etc. which you do not need and sometimes the store does this on purpose to get rid of the abundant stock. Therefore, buying single items, say, if you only need a toothpaste, you only spend a dollar instead of 9.99, and you already save 8.99.
