English term or phrase: A type of certifying document.
A girl is going to immigrate to a country. That country\'s embassy needs a document from the person whom her is going to live with. This document says sth like \" I\'m willing to take this girl into my responsibility, providing her with residence and any basic needs\" What do you call this type of certificate in English? Somehow there's an error. I need it in English, not French, Thanks.

could be right here; it certainly covers the idea of a long-term responsibility for the invitee by the person extending the invitation. May be more a UK usage than a US usage; but the usual question - does it fit??

agree  sheena: in the UAE, where a mixture of US, GB and Indian English is used, the activity is known as sponsorship, but I'm honestly not sure what the certificate is called

agree  Tanja Abramovic: The U.S. "Affidavit of Support" covers "sponsorship" as well. It includes all kinds of support, such as financial, residential, etc. This is an official INS term here.
