English term or phrase: with
In this practice, they introduced and used an improved subcutaneous needle with a lengthened lengthened acupuncture needle handle.

The practice introduced the improved subcutaneous needle that lengthened the handle of the acupuncture needle.

Both sentence means same thing.

Do you think which is better?

Thank you very much for your help.

agree  Charles Davis: Of the asker's two proposals, the first is better (if we remove the extraneous "lengthened"), but yours is much better still.

  -> Why, thank you!

neutral  Donna Stevens: Unsure- this makes it sound like the practice is being introduced, when the writer might be saying that the needle is being introduced into the patient and then used by the therapist. In medicine, needles are introduced into a patient.

  -> I really think the sense is that they have introduced a new type of needle to be used on the patients, but fair point.

agree  Tina Vonhof: @ Donna: needles are inserted.

  -> They can be introduced, but in this case I'm pretty sure it's the practice and the new needles that are being introduced into usage. Thanks, by the way!

agree  amarpaul: Far more readable than the other two options.
