Religion / abbreviation, name of religion
English term or phrase: PC
PC: abbreviation, name of religion
A birth certificate from the Philippines, in the section dealing with the father’s data, reads:
"Religion: PC"

On the other hand, the marriage certificate of the parents say that they were married by the Catholic church, so I guess this “PC” refers to some variant of the Catholic religion, but I don’t know which.

Many thanks in advance,
Manuel

Possible typo - RC - Roman Catholic
Explanation:
Could just be a typo. Catholics can often be referred to as "Roman Catholic" on offical documents, which would/could be abbreviated to RC.

A possibility.

"Roman Catholic (that's what RC stands for!) Our Catholic faith is central to all areas of our lives. The Catholic Church is deep in history and studying the history of our faith alongside secular history will deepen your understanding of God's plan for the world. Our Lord is truly the center of all history! "

If "P" is really intended, I suppose it could stand for "Philippine Catholic" although I think my first suggestion is more likely.

I believe that it possibly stands for “Philippine Catholic” but, since I am not sure, I decided to leave it just as “Catholic”.
Many thanks to all of you for your help.
Manuel

Explanation:
Nothing to do with Catholicism, but this is another possibility to bear in mind.

An internet search for "religion : presbyterian church" gets about 150 000 g-hits.
