Well, guys, this is not a big deal, though I would protest in Stone's place, if anyone had squashed the question ere an answer came. It's a justified question of language understanding. "Kog" peer review? Could it be a newly coined verb? Thanks to D. & S.
Don't take the defensive position, please, and don't feel abused. Bot me and Rita and may other could squash the question, still none has done. Nobody wants to supress it or anything, believe me. :)
Dear Stone: questions cannot/should not be squashed after answers have been posted. I am not criticizing you. KOG is a proz website-specific acronym. Hopefully the moderators will take note and clarify their terms :-)
Hi Rita, maybe you and Kirill can 'automatically' judge that this is 'Not A Kudoz Question', but please consider: if the definition of KOG can not be found in FAQ, and can only be seen when a member is viewing a glosary. How can you expect a new member to imagine what it is? If it's not a translating/language-understanding or perveiving problem, you tell me how should I think or 'believe' of such a word 'Kog'????
It's the problem of ProZ.com, not mine. If you or anybody remove or squash this question, please keep what I felt and said above!
Sorry I didn't want to scare you or anything. I just meant questions about proZ itself aren't real kudoZ questions, that's all. As Steffen's answer impies you might easily find the answer browsing through the site. ;-)
Thanks for your opinion Kirill. I've thought about your suggestion of asking this question in a forum. But first, I asked a veteran ProZ member about what is KOG in the context and he didn't know either. Second, I think Kudoz is a place for us to ask and answer questions about any 'words' and 'sentences', isn't it? Considering these 2 facts, I decided to ask here in Kudoz.
If my choice to ask here is wrong, I'll take heed next time. But don't worry, you didn't scare me - a newbie in Proz. I'm just saying thank you for the advice. :)
