|This is Africaans. The phrase is from a thesis entitled "Die Negende Grensbotsing". I think it translates to The Ninth Frontier Collision, but I'm not sure.|

Ninth in a series of clashes between race groups on say the eastern border of the Cape Province during the 19th century.

|Thank you very much for helping me. I like your answer the best since the thesis is about the 9th Cape frontier war with the Xhosa. I do have one more question though. Can grens also mean Frontier? I like The Ninth Frontier Clash a little better. I'm just curious, but you know alot more about Afrikaans than me. Again, thanks alot for your answer. It did help me. Take Care.|

The Ninth Border Confrontation
A "botsing" is also an accident which implies bad things etc.
Confrontation is also a negative word which implies unhappiness about certain issues etc.
