I guess you spelled this in the way and English speaker would hear it.

"Ek weet nie, Marlene" would mean "I don't know, Marlene"

agree  Richard Asher: Correct Marienne. This is not Afrikaans but a phonetic rendering of some accent. And not one I'm familier with. 'Ak' and 'vit' are familiar regional pronunciations but I've never heard anyone pronounce 'nie' as 'ne'....
