agree  Anita du Plessis: But I think it is hobos, without the apostrophe. Only in Afrikaans do we use the apostrophe for plural after a vowel.

I note that Chambers 20thCD. (printed 1972) prefers "hoboes" - I haven't checked online as yet. Being in retirement some 13 years now I'm not in a position to purchase all the latest everything as needed.
