From its context it sounds like "juror" but I'd like to be sure.

That's the broad global sense, although I think in the UK where this translation will be used it would be better to say "magistrate". But not "jury" which is the whole trup gjykues not an individual member of it ("juror").

Explanation:
Porot is Serbian for jury (used also in Kosovar Albanian). It's better to provide the whole sentence or a context for a more precise meaning.
