Many Google sources give the meaning of this male name as "companion" from Arabic. I don't of any Arabic word that sounds like this and means "companion".
I have the Syrian bacchalayerate (12th grade = pretty stong knoledge of Arabic, poetry, rhethoric), but still ignorant about this..
I am looking for an explanation and not the meaning, which I know.
