لاحظت من خلال البحث أن مصطلح التعليم العام يعني أحيانا التعليم النظامي وأحيانا مراحل التعليم الأساسي والثانوي
أرجو مساعدتي في ترجمته في الجملة التالية ترجمة صحيحة:

Yes, the GED is for those who have not earned a high school diploma.When students pass the five basic tests, they receive a high school equivalency diploma

agree  gsaboft: "General education" to my mind refers to a set of basic requirements, as in the GED, rather than a comprehensive educational system. However, the target audience of the text needs to be considered - in the UK, "public" means private education.

Asker: Thanks Heba. Regards the wikipedia link, the GED is the name of a governmental program which grants an equivalent certificate to those who were not able to obtain a high school diploma ثانوية عامة
