My best guess is "madarikuh", as the rest of the text has the points on the ta' marbutas. As I was in a hurry with the deadline I went for "faculties" from Hans Wehr, although Sam's answer is attractive. Is it just me, or is Arabic usage - even fusha - becoming more localised? These days I find myself having to use specialised Egyptian and Iraqi Arabic dictionaries a lot more, as well as Hans Wehr.

Guys - the order appears from right to left on the webpage on my screen. I think this problem is due to my not having an Arabic keyboard and having to use the "insert" facility instead to write Arabic. My apologies for the problem.

No they are not for me , i tried all encoding option, Finay I copied them to Word, then i was able to read them

Are the words appearing to everybody in proper Arabic letters"readable", as I can't read them, they're shown as boxes & drawings??
