Arabic term or phrase: ازلام الطاغية
I found this phrase in many texts after the killing of The Libyan President Ghadafi. Could you please tell me exactly how does it translates: does it refer to those who dethroned him or it refers to the "dethroned dictator"?

Explanation:
I think all all the previous 5 answers are correct, but I just would to make the word أزلام clearer to the asker. By definition, أزلام or dividing arrows are small arrows the pre-Islamic people used to use on some of which they wrote "Do" and on the others they wrote "Do not do" in order to consult these arrows first before doing anything. However, in the contemporary Arabic, the idiom أزلام الطاغية refers to those people who are completely controlled and manipulated by an absolute ruler who uses them to perform unpleasant or dishonest tasks. Thus, I think the above mentioned terms are close equivalents to the word أزلام in this particular context.

P.S.: أزلام also refers to the consultants and assistants of a tyrant.

remnants of the tyrant

Explanation:
according to mass media, I belive this would be the most probable meaning. however, the context is much needed.
