هذا المثل يحض على الحركة والسعي على الرزق وعدم التقاعس

الأمثال المصرية تقدم نموذجًا مختلفا تمامًا عن تلك الصورة الشائعة ، وخاصة فيما يتعلق باحترام قيمة العمل ، وضرورته فى المجتمع ، فى نفس الوقت التى تدين فيه الكسل ، والتقاعس ، وعدم السعى على الرزق ، وإيثار الراحة على التعب ، وفيما يلى قائمة بأهم هذه الأمثال :
- السعى على المعاش عباده
- صنعه فى اليد .. أمان من الفقر
- صاحب صنعه .. أحسن من صاحب قلعه
- تراب العمل ، ولا زعفران البطاله
- الرزق يحب الخفيه
