1. swing
2. seesaw
فكيف تعرف مقصودي إذا قلت لك ، مثلا: هيا بنا إلى الملعب...لنركب الأرجوحة هناك

swing ? or seesaw?
Or you just wait and see, until we reach the park and then you find out what exactly there is?
Or there is a way to distinguish them by naming them separately?

Thats another definition I found. Also, since you brought up the kind of movement they have, note that the verb Arja7a refers to a pendular movement (back and forth or from side to side: swing) while the movement of a seesaw (up and down) is called more precisely Hawdajah (هودجة) but there is no word derived from this verb in Arabic to make reference to a seesaw.

the definition found on the online dictionaries is not always correct, and also we need not read them carefully and make sure we understand correctly what we read. Most of the time, the dicitonaries are correct, but we didn't read them carefully or got it wrong.
Just a few days ago, I entered a bookstore, and picked up a children book, the word "zuhlugah" is printed right besides a picture of slide. And we can tell the definition whether it is right or wrong, by considering where the word is derived from.

Asker: beacause of the back-and-forth motion of the swing, and the up-and-down motion of the seesaw. the word " urjuhah" ( الذي تترجح)
is applied to both of them --- swing and seesaw. Question is: how do we distinguish them when we only hear the word" urjuhah", how do we figure out what the speaker wants to refer to?

والطريف أن الكاتب يتحدّث عنها كلعبة ينصح بها الكبار (ولا سيما السيدات) لحرق الحريرات
