الكُظْر، أو الغدة فوق الكلوية غدة صماء زوجية. توجد في جسم الإنسان وهما غدتان فوق كلويتان أو كظران كل واحدة موضوعة فوق احدي الكليتان. وتتكون كل غدة من جزء خارجي يدعى قشر الكظر، وداخلي يدعى لب الكظر.تبدو الغدة الفوق كلوية اليمني مثلثة الشكل، اما الغدة الفوق كلوية اليسري هلالية الشكل. وظيفة الكظر الاساسية هي افراز الهرمونات عند الاستجابة للتوتر وهذا عن طريق تصنيع الكورتيكوستيرويدات مثل الكورتيزول ,والكاتيكولامينات مثل الادرينالين. يؤثر الكظر علي وظيفة الكلي عن طريق افراز هرمون الألدوستيرون والمسؤل عن تنظيم اسمولية بلازما الدم. |
