Arabic term or phrase: Jawal
just want to know what it means - the dictionaries won't show it
English translation:globe-trotter, avid traveller
'Jawwaal' has roots in the word 'jawlah', which means 'doing rounds', 'patrolling', 'going on a journey', etc.

I have two suggestions,
it all depends on the context however:
1. It could be "Jawwal" meaning: a male person who "roams, moves, or travels around".
2. It could also be a misspelt word for "Shawwal" which is the Arabic month شوال which is the tenth month in the Arabic calendar.
If you could provide more text it would be more helpful.
