المقصود هو المحايلة بالمعنى الإيجابي (كالرجاء والتودد بغرض قصد المنال)، والمنال هنا هو عودة الجمال بما تحمله من أحباب وثنيهم عن الرحيل

Accordingly, I'm not sure if this is the term needed in English, but this is the meaning intended in Arabic anyway!

I have cited this before in one of my notes. It seems that Dina and I are reading two different poems. Teh asker should give origin of poem at least.
