Arabic term or phrase: nawal
Hi,

I'm translating a Franco-Algerian story whose narrator's name is Isma. I know this means "name" in Arabic. Her friend's name is "Nawal," and I was wondering if this also had a meaning, in addition to being a feminine name.

"generous giving" - favour as "gift" or "grant". Something one wishes for deeply and is given to them.
