Arabic term or phrase: chnou?
The American asks (about the Moroccan owner of a boat) “Does he understand English?”
The English speaking Arab says, “That man? Ha! He doesn’t even understand Spanish! Verdad, amigo?” he calls to the Moroccan in front of the boat.
“Chnou?” says the Moroccan, not turning around.

(considering I’m translating the text to Turkish, can you pls put the Arabic originals too, so I can use them for the Turkish transcription?)
