Im Wörterbuch finde ich zu جلد nur die Adjektivform (standhaft, stark, kräftig). Muhammad Hussain Haikal schreibt in seiner Prophetenbiographie zu diesem Ereignis: "Sie gelangten schließlich dazu, aus jedem Stamm einen kräftigen Jüngling zu wählen..." Kann man جلد hier mit "einen kräftigen Jüngling" übersetzen, oder wäre das zu frei?
Von dem Wörterbucheintrag, den ich zur Adjektivform gefunden habe, erscheint es mir nur, dass er standhaft, stark und kräftig war, aber nicht unbedingt jung. Es können ja auch ältere Menschen standhaft, stark und kräftig sein. Oder ist es auch im Wort impliziert, nur nicht in meinem Wörterbuch drin?
Oder gibt es eine bessere Übersetzung für dieses Wort in diesem Kontext? |
