Armenian to English translations [Non-PRO] General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters | | Armenian term or phrase: Азиз джан! Сирун джан! Кянк джан! Кахцр джан! | Hello / Barev,
What do these phrases using the word "джан" ("jan")" mean in Armenian?
In a Romanized script they would be written as: Aziz jan!, Sirun jan! Kyanq jan! (Qaghcr jan! (Maybe Kaghtsr jan!)).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sincerely,

| | My darling! | Explanation: "Jan" is untranslatable. All of the above examples mean approximately the same and are addressed to a person whom you do love or admire. They can be translated as My darling! or My dear!; (I don't think we can translate the second phrase as "My beuty! or My beautiful!); My life!; My sweetheart! (maybe), etc. |
