I did not say that the English language in my reference was perfect but I am definitely not responsible for that so if you have a complaint, please send an email to the Clinical Center and enlighten them, they will probably be very grateful for that. If they chose to translate "odeljenje" as "department", than it should be translated accordingly especially since that is the common translation. I have no intention whatsoever to further expand this discussion by explaining terms which are not a subject of this KudoZ question. In addition I think it is quite unfair not to agree with a perfectly correct answer and to be neutral instead - the question was "pretilitet" - period. BTW, I don't see Bosnian declared in your profile as one of your working languages, maybe that is the reason why you find "odeljenje" translated as "department" so funny?

Since I am obviously very ignorant about the English terminology in my own field of work, it would be great if you could enlighten me--what exactly is "ambulance of clinic" cited in your reference above? Thanks a lot!

It may sound very funny to you but that is probably because you are not familiar with subdivision of University Clinical Centers, the following is the official website of the subject Cl. C.: http://www.kcus.ba/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id... please note: emergency department, please see here: http://www.kcus.ba/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id... Departments: Ambulance of clinic, proctologic office and dispensary part, which consists of 5 departments (C1, C2, C4, C5, and C9). In the dispensary it's incorporated a department for the semi intensive care with 16 beds. Departments of the clinic are located on the two locations in the building of the old surgery and currently are counting 84 beds. * Section of hepatology, * Section for the diseases of proximal part of digestive tract, * Section for the diseases of distal part of digestive tract
So it is either "department" or "section", depends on what they call it themselves, I can't seem to find it on their website.

You may use "Center for obesity and general surgery" Or "Hernia Repair Center" or Bariatric Surgery Center/Program (which includes morbid obesity treatment) and is a very comprehensive term.
