neutral  zenithmaster: Това не е ли по-скоро "строги мерки за икономии"? Според мен това, че се опитват да осъществят "recovery" чрез "austerity" е друг въпрос.

  -> Точно това е, но в дадения контекст това се иска. Просто българският термин е по-малко "плашещ". Иначе и на гръцки е точен превод на английския израз.

  -> Знам, че в момента "austerity measures" масово се използва в медиите. Тази година не съм чел вестник или гледал новини без да срещна този израз. Но все пак въпросът е за "оздравителни мерки".
agree  invguy: Ако се търси точен превод, със сигурност не е austerity, забележката е съвсем разумна. В зависимост от контекста може да е recovery, rehab(ilitation)... може би има и други варианти.
