Bulgarian to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) | | Bulgarian term or phrase: в ущърб на | | Колеги, трябва ми помощ за този наглед лесен израз, за който обаче не мога да намеря подходяща фраза на английски, която да се вписва в конкретния контекст и да не звучи като "word-for-word translation". Става дума за доклади от одит на европейски проекти, изразът се среща много пъти в изречения като "Допусната е грешка в изчисляването на безвъзмездната финансова помощ, която е в ущърб на фонда/бенефициента" или "която е ощетила фонда/бенефициента с Х лв." Не търся точен превод на фразата, по-скоро търся предложения как да се перифразират такъв тип изречения, така че да звучат добре на английски и ясно да показват, че става дума за ощетяване с пари, а не нещо друго. |

Asker: Да, гледах го този израз в речника, но според мен не звучи добре в конкретния контекст. Не срещнах примери да се използва, когато става дума за пари, а и самото използване на "detriment" ми звучи много фаталистично като за официален доклад. Както съм споменала, търся по-скоро подходящо перифразиране, речниците съм ги проверила.
