agree  Dimar: Английският е богат език, синоними колкото щеш. Въпросите обаче са два: (1) смисълът на термина, и (2) какъв израз използват англоговорящите. Изброяването на синоними едва ли ще ни помогне. Според мен поне.

neutral  Dimar: Най-вероятно става дума за образна диагностика, но фотографското "fogged" е много далече от това, което има предвид един рентгенолог (примерно). Терминът "воалиран" е от образната диагностика.

Explanation:
Защо би се използвала думата "воалиран", ако се има предвид "неясен"? Дали по-скоро не става дума за "having the appearance of a veil", as in "dendritic (veiled) cells"? Някак не мога да си представя щитовидна жлеза с размити очертания.
Може би си струва да се помисли.

disagree  Dimar: Става дума точно за неясни, размити, неочертани рязко. П.П. Воалирани означава изглеждащи така, сякаш са покрити с (или гледани през) полупрозрачен воал, т.е. неясно, а не имащи вид на воал! А как го казват англ. колеги .. е работа на някой друг.

  -> Ами добре, fair enough, но след като авторът е предпочел думата "воалирани", защо да не се преведе "veiled"?
