Catalan term or phrase: reassignació

For assignat I'll probably use "granted".

As I understand it, the concept is turning down the possibility of being given a place that was higher on the list. I'm not sure how to word the question though.

refuse reassignment
Explanation:
I often avoid he/she just by repeating "the student" or a similar synonym -- retains the formality that way so that you don't have to revert to second person.

As for assignar, why not use assign/reassign? Google brings up a lot of hits for "refuse reassignment".

Also, the dictionary from enciclopedia catalana gives the definition for assignar as assign or allot. I associate grant with subvencionar much more.

Thanks. I've used the second person because the context is an informal FAQ page, and the second person is used in other answers. Most questions are in 1st person.

I don't know whether it was clear or not that "Què vol dir renunciar a la reassignació?" was part of the text itself and was not my question!
