The concept is that a pump suctions from the source and then delivers, under pressure, water (here) to a point which is both higher and away from the source. The "impulsió" part is that from the outlet (or discharge) side of the pump (at the flange connecting the outlet pipe) and the point where it is delivered.
You need to take into account quite a number of data for the circuit downstream of the pump outlet to calculate the pump itself (power, etc) when calculating a pumping system: Height ("altura d'impulsió"), length and water head losses due to, for instance, bends, valves, pipe section changes, etc. It all ends as "altura d'impulsió equivalent" (that is, equivalent water head) which is what defines the kind of pump you will need.
Therefore, I would say "pumping".
btw: I also believe that the original should say "consta" rather tan "conta".
