Catalan to English translations [PRO] History | | Catalan term or phrase: l’abandonament gairebé els havia sentenciat | I have no idea really what they mean here. I gave it a wild shot in the dark below. This is a flowery text explaining the fascinating (?) history of a small town, sort of promotional, sort of informational, sort of boasting, heavy on the verbosity and "cleverness".
Any ideas?
TIA :)
Rough draft.
The town has placed special emphasis on its historic centre – an unparalleled monument to its past and cultural heritage – its exceptionally beautiful natural surroundings, and important historical buildings such as the Franciscan Convent of Saint Barbara, all of which seemingly were in use just a day before. |
