agree  darwinista: In fact, jutjats de guàrdia in Spain do not operate at night, which raises my doubts as to my correct translation.

Sessions court


Explanation:
I don't know if they still do this in the UK, but weren't travelling courts that went around from place to place dealing with local offenders known as "sessions courts" or "assizes"? Isn't that kind of the idea here?

Just giving you another idea to bounce around.
