Catalan to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / Andorran legal system | | Catalan term or phrase: Llei Qualificada | This seems to be a specifically Andorran term, the Consell de Govern passes both ordinary laws and "Lleis Qualificades". I've found Lleis Qualificades on marriage, citizenship and residency, data protection, the police, money laundering, the electoral system... but I can't see what is the difference between them and ordinary laws.
Spanish-English KudoZ gives ley cualificada => qualified law, but I'm not sure if that a meaningful expression in any English speaking jurisdiction.
I may end up just using the Catalan term in inverted commas, as this page does, but if anyone can help with some clarification of the term, I would be extremely grateful.

I guess the other options are yo use the original Catalan with a bracketed explanation (i.e. a llei qualificada is a law requiring a bigger majority for approval) or just use Law on.... |

Asker: Thanks very much Ross for all the research - I think I'll use the Catalan and propose to the client we add a footnote explaining about the additional majority required (in this particular context brackets would look messy).
