Given that here "llosa" has the specific meaning of "slate" and "pedra tosca" is likewise "pumice", not just any old pedra that is tosca, it has occurred to me to wonder if "el còdol del riu" is something other than "river pebbles".

"L’indret on es van construir els Jardins Artigas està conformat per un entorn molt salvatge; grans tallants de roca travessats pel Llobregat, amb abundant vegetació autòctona. Les estructures arquitectòniques són exactament iguals que al Park Güell però els materials amb què es va construir el jardí són els propis de la zona de muntanya prepirinenca on es troba situada la Pobla de Lillet; per tant, els materials que trobem al jardí són la llosa, la pedra tosca, el **còdol de riu** i la marga, acompanyats pel ciment pòrtland amb el qual es construeixen les baranes i murals naturalístics del jardí."
