Catalan term or phrase: Mi aca hi ha pell aqui prop
I think it has something to do with a boy and girl situation.

English translation:there is leather close around here
Explanation:
Hola Nicole. Not quite a complete answer this one, as I would like to. "Aca hi ha pell aqui prop" literally means: "there is leather close around here". "Pell" can also mean "skin" (people's, tambourine's, etc). That "mi" is an enigma to me. Short for Mimi, Mia,...? "Mi" is Catalan for possessive "my" but I don't see how it fits here. Perhaps it's some dialect I'm not aware of...there are a few out there, would you believe it... I hope this helps anyway. If you have more clues or context, we might be able to help more. good luck, adeu :)

? there's skin around here somewhere

Explanation:
"hi ha pell aquí prop" literally means "there is skin near here". "Mi" is not a Catalan possessive but a pronoun, used only after certain prepositions, as in "Parla amb mi." Aca (or acá) is not a Catalan word at all; the demonstrative adverbs are açí, aquí, and allà/allí. I think what your sentence is supposed to be is "M'(some verb) que hi ha ...", but I can't guess what the verb would be.

1 day 4 hrs
mi, aca

Explanation:
Hello, getting fussy around here we are. Jon is right about "mi": it's a pronoun, not a possessive (rap over knuckles 4 me). About "aca", it's actually a barbarism of South American origin.
HOWEVER, I sense "mi aca" is a typo altogether. Could you check whether he's actually saying "Mira que"? If so, then the sentence would translate as:"Watch out, there is leather around here" or "Good Heavens! there is...!". The sentence though would make total sense to me if instead of "pell" we had "perill" (danger). Another typo maybe? Look how nice it would sound then:
"Watch out, there's danger near here". More in tune with boy-girl secrecies as I recall...Eeeer, keep us posted. Good luck ;)
