Tech/Engineering / stone construction
Catalan term or phrase: especejament (de pedra)
I think this refers to the way the stones were cut to different lengths but the same height and depth.

Explanation:
I don't know if this is of any help, but here is a photo of the Pont del Diable. There are lots of stones cut at different lenghts in the bridge. Well, have a look and you'll see, I can't describe it very well! I found references to quartering rocks. So, maybe this term could be used.

This may be completely wrong, but I found a reference to the facade of the Casa Calvet being covered in a double pediment. Maybe this is what they are referring to?

Present condition:  Façades: Both street and back Good
Interiors: Hall, stairs and mezzanine areas Good, other parts

Project of the architect Antoni Gaudí i Cornet of 1898 and builded between 1898 and 1900.
Awarded in 1900 by the Municipality of Barcelona.
This is the first Gaudí neighbors building, made for the Calvet family (textile manufacturers).
The façade made in stone and iron, was developed with the collaboration of Lluis Badía (forged iron) and the carpenter Casas i Bardé.
The façade is topped with a double pediment -with two fantasious axle trees made in forged iron- crowned by forged iron crosses.
Each side and the center part of façade are orned with the heads of Saint Peter (the owner father patron) Saint Genis notary and Saint Genis comedian (patrons of Andreu Calvet birthplace Vilassar de Mar).
Back façade (non visible from the street) is very interesting and apreciated by specialists.
The lift with its decoration in wood, iron and cristal is an also artwork.
The furniture of ground and first floor had been designed by Gaudí and are partially visible in Gaudí Museum into the Park Güell.
This is perhaps the most conventional Gaudí building.

What about this - tri-lobed. Could this be what you are looking for, Jon. HTH Sheila

If we look back up towards the top, we observe that the balconies to either side of the tribune are more soaring and their stone slabs are tri-lobed.
